As vedações de cilindro hidráulico são usadas para vedar a abertura entre vários componentes.
Existem dois tipos de vedação hidráulica no sistema:
Vedações dinâmicas
Vedam componentes em movimento relativo. Em um cilindro hidráulico, o sistema de vedação da haste veda o movimento alternativo dinâmico entre a haste do pistão e o cabeçote, enquanto o sistema de vedação do pistão veda o movimento alternativo dinâmico entre o pistão e o furo do cilindro.
Vedações estáticas
Vedam componentes fixados juntos sem movimento relativo. Os cilindros hidráulicos usam vedações estáticas em vários locais, de acordo com o projeto e a construção. Os mais comuns são as vedações estáticas entre o pistão e a haste do pistão e entre o cabeçote e o tubo do furo do cilindro.
